V bájnej krajine starých Keltov žije na osamelom majáku otec s dcérou a so synom. Život celej rodiny sa obráti hore nohami, keď sa ukáže, že dcérka je posledná z tuleních víl. Iba ona môže piesňou mora zachrániť všetky rozprávkové bytosti, ktoré premenila na kameň čarodejnica Macha.
Nádherne animovaný svet keltských mýtov a optimistického rozprávania o sile rodičovskej a súrodeneckej lásky priniesli mladému režisérovi porovnanie s najväčšími majstrami animovaného filmu.
Pieseň mora mala premiéru 6. septembra 2014 na MFF Toronto.
V roku 2015 bola nominovaná na Oscara v kategórii celovečerný animovaný film a v rovnakej kategórii získala Európsku filmovú cenu.

From acclaimed Irish animation studio Cartoon Saloon comes a beautifully hand-drawn adventure inspired by the ancient Irish legend of the selkies magical beings who live as seals in the sea but take human form on land. Young Ben and his little sister Saoirse live with their father in a lighthouse on a remote island off the Irish coast. When Ben discovers that Saoirse is the last of the selkies, the two children are drawn into an extraordinary journey through a disappearing world of Irish myth and magic. Surrounded by fairies, ancient spirits and mysterious creatures, Ben and Saoirse must find their way home and uncover the secrets of their family's past. At the heart of their adventure lies Saoirse's remarkable gift — and a song that may be the only hope of saving the magical world. Directed by Tomm Moore, Song of the Sea is an enchanting story of family, loss, courage and the enduring power of Irish folklore. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
